| Title: | Training of Trainers for Social Science Teachers on “Education for Democratic Citizenship” |
| Description: | In cooperation with the National Committee and the Ministry of Education, British Council plans to hold a training of trainers seminar on democratic citizenship education for around 20 social science teachers and 10 trainers who will take part in the in-service training of the Ministry of Education.
The teachers can be selected either from Ankara or from various cities around Turkey, to be agreed at a later stage. The training will be delivered with the support of two British experts as well as local experts where necessary. The training will mainly be covering format of training, rather than content (i.e. how to deliver citizenship classes in an interesting and appealing way, how to manage large classes, what sort of materials to use and how to use them, etc.) |
