| Title: | The Function of Culture in Building Citizenship Capacity |
| Description: | Publication prepared by the Cultural Policy and Heritage Department (Research Unit) with the support of the European Year of Citizenship through Education, to be published in the Department' s Policy Notes series. In studying the function of culture in building citizenship capacity, this work actually resumes manifold studies on the social impact of culture and reviews empirical evidence. It formulates implications for cultural policy and issues recommendations for future Council of Europe activities (such as documenting good practice and improving the collection of relevant data, e.g. using the existing Compendium cultural policy infomation system). |
