Description: | Publication of the ''popular version'' -for the larger public- of the Declaration on Intercultural Dialogue and Conflict Prevention. The aim of this publication (in brochure format) is to present the philosophy which underpins the Declaration to a wider public. As such, it is an awareness-raising and educational tool for diffusion in a number of media formats and targeting students of all ages, cultural players and policy-makers alike. |

Title: | The Function of Culture in Building Citizenship Capacity |
Description: | Publication prepared by the Cultural Policy and Heritage Department (Research Unit) with the support of the European Year of Citizenship through Education, to be published in the Department' s Policy Notes series. In studying the function of culture in building citizenship capacity, this work actually resumes manifold studies on the social impact of culture and reviews empirical evidence. It formulates implications for cultural policy and issues recommendations for future Council of Europe activities (such as documenting good practice and improving the collection of relevant data, e.g. using the existing Compendium cultural policy infomation system). |
